Focused capture, effortless control
A compact condenser microphone designed to handle loud sources with clarity, precision, and natural balance.
Built for demanding instruments and vocals
Excels on percussion, horns, guitar amplifiers, and vocals, capturing power and nuance without harshness.
Transparent sound with minimal correction
A slightly narrower cardioid pattern reduces side bleed and delivers clean recordings that rarely need EQ.
Ehrlund EHR-E
Extended excellence, focused and free
The EHR-E is a small, lightweight studio condenser microphone designed to work effortlessly with louder sound sources. It is especially well suited for percussion, horns, loud guitar amplifiers, and vocals—capturing power, nuance, and detail with calm precision.
An open, airy mesh minimizes acoustic filtering, allowing sound to reach the capsule naturally and without obstruction. Combined with its robust construction, compact size, and low weight, the EHR-E is easy to place exactly where it’s needed—even in tight or demanding setups.
With a pickup pattern that is slightly narrower than a traditional cardioid, the EHR-E offers excellent focus. This helps capture the intended source clearly, while reducing unwanted sound from the sides. The result is clean, controlled recordings with a natural sense of space.
Designed for engineers and musicians who value simplicity and trust their ears, the EHR-E delivers transparent sound that rarely requires corrective EQ—letting performances speak for themselves.
Characteristics & features
- Large-diaphragm condenser microphone
- Patented triangular membrane design
- Internal amplification and power circuitry
- Optimized for instrument and vocal recording
- Transparent and natural sound
- Excellent low-noise performance
- Phase- and frequency-linear internal amplifiers
- Compact size and lightweight construction
- Slightly narrower cardioid pattern for reduced side bleed
