N

Honest sound, built for the road

Delivers the same transparent, natural sound as the EHR-M—now in a compact, durable format made for touring, broadcast, and everyday professional use.

N

Patented triangular membrane

Preserves clarity and phase accuracy with low self-noise and smooth response, even off-axis or at a distance.

N

One microphone you can trust anywhere

Lightweight, impact-resistant, and powerful enough to work without extra gain — in the studio, on stage, or on the move.

Ehrlund EHR-M1

Compact excellence, built to move

The EHR-M1 is a Swedish-manufactured studio condenser microphone designed for life beyond the studio. Built to endure the realities of touring, broadcasting, and everyday professional use, it delivers the same honest, natural sound as the EHR-M—now in a smaller, tougher format.

In many ways, the EHR-M1 shares the same DNA as the EHR-M. The difference lies in its more compact size, increased impact resistance, and built-in coarse dirt filter. At its core is our patented triangular membrane, paired with patented ultra low-noise, low-power phantom-fed amplification.

The result is a microphone with broad and smooth pickup characteristics, deep and controlled bass, and an extended, open treble. Self-noise is extremely low, sensitivity is high, and the frequency range is wide and linear—even at distance or off-axis. The output signal is strong and clean, often requiring little to no additional gain. This is the Go-To Overhead mic for many sound engineers.

The EHR-M1 is made for creators who need one microphone they can trust—whether in the studio, on stage, or on the road.

Characteristics & features
  • Large-diaphragm condenser microphone
  • Patented triangular membrane design
  • Internal amplification and power circuitry
  • Optimized for podcast, broadcast, and touring environments
  • Transparent and natural sound
  • Excellent low-noise performance
  • Phase- and frequency-linear internal amplifiers
  • Compact size and lightweight construction
  • Built-in coarse dirt filter
  • Durable design, made to withstand life on tour
  • Broad pickup range with linear frequency response, even off-axis
  • Accurate bass reproduction, even at moderate distances
  • Natural reproduction of fast transients
  • Negligible sound coloration, true to the original source
  • Frequency range from infrasonic bass to ultrasonic treble
  • Low energy consumption, approx. 2.0 mA
  • Strong output signal, usually requiring no external amplification
  • Designed for flat EQ—no pre-filtering required
  • Every Ehrlund microphone is individually stereo-matched within its model
  • Unaffected by load impedance
Impedance

The frequency response remains unaffected by variations in load impedance from the mixing console. The response is identical whether connected to an input impedance of 200 Ω or 2000 Ω.

Power supply

48 V / 2.0 mA phantom power via 3-pin XLR connector.
