N

Handheld clarity without compromise

A condenser microphone designed for live performance, delivering open, natural sound with exceptional control at high sound pressure levels.

N

Patented triangular membrane

Faster resonance decay preserves detail and transient accuracy, keeping vocals and instruments clear and uncoloured.

N

Intuitive on stage and in the mix

A clean, even response reduces the need for corrective EQ, allowing faders to stay close to neutral.

Ehrlund EHR-H

Handheld excellence, honestly heard

The EHR-H is a handheld condenser microphone carefully optimized for live performance. At its core is the same foundation found in every Ehrlund microphone: our unique triangular capsule, paired with patented phase- and frequency-linear electronics.

This design delivers the pure, clean sound image Ehrlund microphones are known for—open, natural, and uncoloured. The triangular membrane shape allows resonances to decay faster than in traditional round or square membranes, helping sound remain clear and controlled even at high sound pressure levels.

Sharp transients sound more natural, and complex sound waves are resolved with remarkable precision as they travel across the triangular surface. The signal is then amplified by our near noise-free electronics, preserving detail and realism without altering phase or frequency or adding unnecessary noise.

Because of its clean and even response, the EHR-H feels intuitive to work with—both on stage and in the studio. Its broad frequency characteristics often allow mixing console faders to remain close to their neutral positions, with little need for corrective EQ.

Characteristics & features
  • Handheld condenser microphone
  • Optimized for live environments
  • Patented triangular capsule design
  • Transparent and natural sound
  • Excellent low-noise performance
  • Phase- and frequency-linear response
  • Natural reproduction of fast transients
  • Negligible sound coloration, true to the original source
  • Frequency range from infrasonic bass to ultrasonic treble
  • Low energy consumption, approx. 2.0 mA
Impedance

The frequency response remains unaffected by variations in load impedance from the mixing console. The response is identical whether connected to an input impedance of 200 Ω or 2000 Ω.

Power supply

48 V / 2.0 mA phantom power via 3-pin XLR connector.
